Went to the store with a buddy it was either this Mikes hard Lemonade, Smifnoff, or the Jack Daniels Lemonade or one of the other fruity beers. I decided to experiment and tried two different brands of beers one them being the Harpoon Cider the other being a low calorie beer brand which I wont mention. Ok I will Michelob Amberbock which was ok nothing special then once i finnished one I excitedly went ahead to try the Harpoon Cider and so did my roomate. The taste was horrible to be more specific it tasted like watered down beer with parts of apple not apple juice just apple with water. The begining of the taste was water followed by the a strong flavor of apple without the sweetness then an all of a sudden after taste of nasty beer or alcohol but not in a good matter it was just bitter and nasty. The after taste is the worst part of this its not something you expect compared to some apple cider based beer ive tried this stuff is gross. It fills you up quick and its a chore just to finnish one. My roomate drank a bit and couldnt bare the taste and me not being the type to waste beer had to finnish it for him. Worst tasting thing ive tried atleast with other beer like budweiser you expect the piss flavor. This stuff is too bitter and sour I expected some sourness and sweetness to the flavor not for it be more bitter than straight Vodka. The Amberbock tasted amazing after trying this stuff hell I think I could finnish the rest of it if it were not for me trying to cut my weight. Everyone likes different stuff though but I can tolerate most of the more popular brands try at your own risk plus ive heard people actually like this stuff so it might be worth a try for some a little experimentation never hurts I know a guy who loves red stripe and I think its one of the worst beers ever made I gave it a shot same as other beer brands you have to be the judge of things yourself. Next time either XX or Corona and Jack Daniels Lemonade or Mikes Hard lemonade or just any random two six packs.
